South Jersey (VAY) to Millville (MIV), September 5, 2001

This is VAY looking towards my flying club. The middle picture shows N2288M which is our ride to MIV. Carl hadn't come back yet, so I took these after I did the pre-flight inspection. My wife has gotten in the habit of calling my flight bag, visable on the wing, as a "pilot's purse". In it live my fuel tester, log book, student's license, headset and various other goodies.

We have a fuel truck, or rather the airport does, which can't be driven anywhere. Periodically the airport fills it up. We taxi the planes up to it. In other words, the mountain comes to Mohammed, I suppose.

This is the pilot's view of the way down, and finally a look at Millville airport. Not the great shot of the prop... The river is the Maurice River.

On the way back, we pass Hammonton Municipal Airport (N81), seen in the first shot, and then move on home, seen in the remaining shots. Housing developments don't look much different from the air...
